De Bertier de Sauvigny suggests, loc. cit., that this and the previous lot may have been a part of the set of which The Month of April: The Parable of the Sower is in the Bowes Museum, Barnard Castle, Durham (ibid., p. 246, no. XCIX), and six others are known, in various locations (ibid., pp. 268-71, nos. 1-5 and 8).
