The black lacquer shrine with two hinged doors with copper kanamono chiselled with crysanthemum and foliage, revealing a gilt lacquered-wood figure of Amida Buddha seated on an elaborate lotus pedestal with both hands resting on the lap in mitanojoin gesture, an associated gilt lacquered-wood mandala decorated with scrolling clouds and a bronze plaque to the centre chiselled with paulownia and inscribed Fujiwara Tomoyoshi, minor damage
