A pair of George II silver-gilt two-light candelabra
Mark of John Pero, London, 1733
Each on shaped triangular base with lion's paw and foliage feet and gadrooned borders, the stems each formed as a kneeling blackamoor with chained collar and anklet, with arms raised, each supporting a detachable plain circular drip-pan and spool-shaped socket, the bases each later engraved with a crest with baron's coronet above, marked on bases and sockets, one base engraved with cancelled scratchweight '26=11', each with further scratchweights 'No 1 25:5' and 'No 2 26:8'
