Barbara, second daughter and sole heir of George Hill of Rothwell Manor, co. Northampton, married the Hon. William Cockayne (see lots 29 and 65). They had issue with ten daughters.
The miniature and preparatory sketch by Smart of the Hon. William Cockayne are illustrated in D. Foskett, op. cit., pl. XI, nos. 34 and 35.
