This drawing is unusually large, even for Boguet. Most of his sheets measure 490 x 660 mm., half the size of the present one. Two of similar scale, part of an extensive collection of drawings by Boguet in the Gabinetto Nazionale della Stampe in Rome, were illustrated in G. Fusconi, I paesaggi di Nicolas-Didier Boguet e i luoghi tibulliani, exhib. cat., Rome, 1984, nos. 60-1.
