Circa 1730, the mounts contemporary, the cover with a later Prussian control mark, the footrim with mark for Michael Braun
Painted J.G. Hörold with Oriental figures at discussion, one with performing squirrels, another holding a cup of tea and standing beside and urn of flowers on a pedestal and with an exotic bird in flight above, within a Böttger-lustre gilt scale-pattern quatrefoil cartouche reserved on a an even yellow-brown ground, the loop handle with indianische Blumen flanked by Gitterwerk, the cover engraved with an accolée coat-of-arms and with pierced scroll thumb-piece (a minute blemish to ground)
