1775, iron-red crowned imterlaced L's mark enclosing date letter v, painter's mark .P.P. for Parpette and gilder's 2000 for Vincent
The central field set with two circular biscuit portrait plaques of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette in profile to the right and left within later circular chased ormolu surrounds flanked by trailing garlands of garden flowers joined by gilt C-scrolls, the border with shaped gilt panels flanked by husks, within a self-moulded gilt line frame with a band of white bead ornament, the top rim pierced for hanging (slight chipping around central circular apertures, the King with repaired chip to rim above head, the Queen with large chip to rim at 10 o'clock)
