The cup of tapering cylindrical form with entwined double loop handle with gilt foliage terminals, painted with a landscape with figures by a river before a distant bridge and buildings, within a flattened oval gilt band cartouche against a gilt scrolling foliage rococo border with panels of diaper and dot-ornament, the shallow domed cover with gilt carnation finial, the border divided by two kidney-shaped cartouches with figures in landscapes, the saucer similarly decorated, gilt line rims (minute flaking to gilt rim of cover)
