Only 20 'El-Teb' clasps awarded to H.M.S. Euryalus.

Petty Officer W.E. Elliott was born in Southampton in 1857 and entered the Royal Navy as a Boy aboard H.M.S. St. Vincent in 1872. He served in various ships including two years on the Hercules from 1875, two years on the Minotaur from 1877 and three years aboard the Euryalus from 1882. Whilst on the latter he served in the Sudan Campaign of 1884 and was later promoted Petty Officer 2nd Class.
