4° (287 x 218mm). 20 hand coloured lithographic plates, loose as issued, each plate mounted on card, printed label on verso with number added by hand, letter-press descriptions of plates 1-12 bound in 3 parts. (Letter-press descriptions lacking for plates 13-20, light spotting in one plate, light browning or soiling to some mounts). Original printed wrappers with title "Descriptive Letter Press to the Indian Microcosm" within lithographic vignette view to parts 1-3, stitched (short tears in wrappers, some creasing to wrapper of part one), in modern blue cloth box, blue leather spine label.
