A PAIR OF GEORGE III MAHOGANY LOW SIDE CHAIRS
Circa 1765
Each shaped crestrail centered by a pagoda roof, the ears similarly-carved, above a pierced drapery and tassle-carved interlaced urn-shaped splat, flanked by rocaille-carved stiles, above a flared padded drop-in seat covered with a patterned rose silk damask, the seatrail carved with a ribbon and flowerhead torus, on cabriole legs headed by foliate cabochons and with ball-and-claw feet, formerly with casters (2)
