Private Robert Williams spent the greater part of his time in the Crimea in hospital, namely from October 1854 until his death in March 1856. He did, however, serve for part of June 1855 with Captain Colville's Company in the trenches, an outing that also won him entitlement to the 'Sebastopol' clasp.
