The teapot extremely thinly and finely carved in shallow relief on each side of the compressed globular body with a large lotus bloom, divided by the spout and an elegant leaf-form S-handle, all within two bow-strings above a further band of lotus scrolls before the splayed foot, the domed cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a multiple-petal finial, the highly translucent material of even pale celadon tone
