19th century, entwined S mark forming a lozenge and enclosing the letter S in imitation of the Sevres interlaced L's mark
Of flaring cylindrical form, decorated with alternating spiral stripes of pink roses on a white ground and of cobalt blue edged with gilt laurel entwined around a gilt line, gilt line rims
21½in. (31.8cm.) diameter, 10¾in. (27.3cm.) high

Decoration similar to that on the present large cooler is usually found on Sèvres tea and coffee wares of the mid 18th century.
