2nd Lieutenant Ralph Leslie Hunt, aged 25 years, from Upper Tooting, London was killed in action on 15.10.1916 and is buried in Sucrere Military Cemetery, Colincamps. Attached to 'D' Company, 11th Essex, he was killed just prior to the Battalion attack on the Le Transloy trenches on the Somme at 5.30 a.m. on 15 October. He is also commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
