Private George Robson, who was born in Rawalpindi, India and enlisted at Felling on Tyne, was killed in action on 14.7.1916 in the assault and capture of Longueval. Advancing with the 10th Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders at 3.25 a.m., the 8th Black Watch achieved their main objective after heavy fighting and casualties.
