Flowers in a decorative urn

Van Fornenburgh's comparable signed bodycolour drawing of flowers in a decorated vase is in the Westflisches Landesmuseum, Mnster (inv. no. KdZ 913), while another was sold at Sotheby's, London, 30 November 1993, lot 4, illustrated. Some of the artist's drawn work was described and illustrated by I. Bergstrm, 'Van Fornenburgh's Drawings of Flower Pieces', Tableau, 6, no. 1, September/October 1983, pp. 64 ff.
A bodycolour drawing of a similar vase was sold at de Vries, Amsterdam, 19 May 1925, lot 1180 (as Jacob l'Admiral, photograph at the Rijksbureau voor Kunsthistorische Documentatie, The Hague).
