The jewel-like carving of these panels relates them to the work of the celebrated Turinese cabinet-maker Guiseppe Maria Bonzanigo and his circle. A commode by Bonzanigo with similarly carved panels forming the drawer fronts, in the Palazzo Reale, Turin, is illustrated in G. Ferraris, Guiseppe Maria Bonzanigo, Caverlamaggiore, 1991, fig. xx.
