Signed Tsutomu, Edo Period (Late 18th/Early 19th Century)
Of a shishi, carved in archaic style with stylised curly tail and mane, reclining on a zabuton [floor cushion], katabori, stagshorn with dark staining, eyes inlaid in horn, signed underneath on a square reserve with a single character Tsutomu (Tagayasu)
