Elegant company feasting, with musicians beneath an arbour, a palace and ornamental garden beyond

This picture is presumably the lost prototype by Vinckboons of which the work by an unknown hand in the Statens Museum for Kunst, Copenhagen, is a copy (for which see K. Goossens, David Vinckboons, pp. 95-7, fig. 51). Goossens, loc. cit., dates the picture to shortly after 1610, along with De buitenpartij in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam (inv. no. A 2109).
