Private A. Griffiths was entitled to the Queen's South Africa Medal with clasps 'Cape Colony' and 'Orange Free State'. Invalided from South Africa in 1900, he did not return until 1902, thereby earning himself the King's South Africa Medal with a scarce single clasp 'South Africa 1902'.
