Lieutenant Charles James Rooke Galwey Cadiz was commissioned into the South African Constabulary on 18.12.1901. He had served previously as a Trooper in the Southern Rhodesia Volunteers and as a Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion, Imperial Yeomanry.
