The manufacture of this tellurium can be dated to not long after 1875, when Jan Felkl's son, Krystof Zikmund (1855-94), joined the firm and it became 'Felkl & Son' (J. Felkl a syn).

A tellurium, the 9.5cm. diameter terrestrial globe made up of twelve coloured printed gores, the prime meridian and equator graduated in degrees, the ecliptic ungraduated, the continents outlined in green and orange (old abrasion to Atlantic Ocean, some redrawing, other areas of surface discolouration), the white-painted wooden moonball mounted on a wire from the geared mechanism atop the globe, the globe in turn mounted on a geared mechanism partially contained in a brass hexagonal drum, the brass arm with scroll support to geared mechanism and crank handle beneath coloured engraved zodiac circle, with reflector and blue glass gas reservoir and lamp fitting raised on a circular embossed brass plinth base
