The artist is unrecorded. Pendant portraits signed B. Luyten were offered in these rooms, Christie's Amsterdam, 11 November 1996, lot 117, ill.. These show a different style, from wich may be concluded that the painter of the present lot and of those sold at Christie's are not identical.
