A 14-inch (35.6cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees and hours, the ecliptic graduated in days and showing symbols for the houses of the Zodiac, the oceans showing ocean currents, steamship routes and submarine cable lines, the continents with nation states variously outlined in red, orange, green and blue, Austro-Hungary undivided, South Africa labelled HOTTENTOTIE, the Antarctic with complete coastline (some neat repairs), the brass meridian circle engraved on one side and divided in four quadrants, the colour [?]photocopied horizon ring variously graduated and showing symbols and names for the houses of the Zodiac, with black painted cast iron semi-circular support and decorative tripod stand, terminating in lion's paw feet -- 22½in.(57.1cm.) high
