The moulded eared and waved red brêche violette marble top above a pierced cartouche centred by a floral posy and with floral garlands to the C-scrolled apron, on double-scrolled pierced channelled legs joined by a conforming stretcher centred by a pierced scallop-shell motif with a floral spray terminating on acanthus-wrapped feet, stamped to the base of the apron 'CHEVRIE PARIS', incised to the back of the marble top 'P405CC, previously decorated

A. Chevrié is recorded in the rue Portefoin in 1878. He participated in exhibitions in 1878 and 1889 when he received the silver medal and he was four times member of the jury. In 1894 he received the medal of the légion d'honneur.
