Villas, South of France

During the 1920's, Milne together with Peploe and Cadell travelled throughout the South of France visiting the popular resorts of Cassis and St. Tropez. The strong light and white washed buildings mark a complete breakaway from his earlier Scottish paintings and represent a new beginning in his oeuvre.
