probably De Reus, sale, Paris, May 23-4, 1777, lot 87 as 'Eleve de Rembrandt. Une vieille femme assise, & lisant. Elle a été gravée par Van Vliet. Hauteur 12 pounces, largeur 10 pounces 4 lignes' (13.10 livres to De Reus).
