Standing with slightly bent legs, articulated arms, wearing white kilt, chest and legs painted red, mustard, white and black, red cloth and embroidered black, red, gray waist sash, the face with white background and black painted slit eyes, geometric designs in red, yellow and green with black borders, string around neck and three vertical areas at back of head surmounted by metal cups attached with string and red fiber

Owner label reads: "Co-ho-non Katchina. This one was adopted from the Coconino or Havasupai Indians of Grand Canyon. Ancient doll to represent the painted decorations of the Havasupai and it symbolizes water." This now known as the Konin Kachina (see Wright, 1977, p. 66, pl. 11c; p. 68, pl. 11b).
