Lot numbers 45 through 68 were collected by Mr. Robert Stevens of San Francisco and Lake Tahoe in the 1940's. Mr. Stevens was a producer and director of national theatrical productions. The kachinas have remained in the family to the present.

The owner label reads: "Hopi Kah-ih Katchina or Corn Dancer. Summer ceremony." This refers to the Ka-ëi Kachina (Wright, 1977, p. 108).
