A small number of cups belong to this class. They are distinguished by having plain exteriors and black-figure interiors, the scenes being divided into segments and covering the interior. The majority of the scenes show Dionysiac subjects. For a Segment class cup with warriors cf. CVA, Germany 55, Kiel 1, pl. 26/1,2; for a more typical scene cf. Chicago, p. 90 no. 53; for similar Amazons in combat (on an amphora) cf. Langlotz, pl. 47 and for the composition cf. Bothmer, Amazons, pl. 38/2
