Lieut. Senior of the 2nd Gurkhas was a member of the Amateur Photographic Association. In his book Victorian India in Focus Ray Desmond makes reference to the photographs Lieut. Senior made of incidents during the Ambeyla expedition which set out in 1863 to suppress a highly organized band of native fanatics operating in the inaccessible Mahabun Mountains.
