A George III silver-gilt and agate dessert service
maker's mark of Paul Storr, London, 1817
Comprising twelve three-prong dessert forks and twelve dessert knives, the blades chased with husks and trailing quatrefoils, each with agate handle, all in a velvet lined fitted wood case, the case with brass lock plate stamped TC Giltspur St, brass corners and carrying handles, the cover inset with brass plaque engraved with inscription, marked on blades and stems

The inscription reads 'THE R^T HON^BLE THE COUNTESS of PORTSMOUTH', persumably for Frances, Countess of Portsmouth (d.1819), daughter of The Rev. Castell Sherrard, wife of Newton, 4th Earl of Portsmouth (1772-1854)
