Oval box, the cover inset with and oval enamel miniature depicting a young couple in classical dresses at an Altar of Love with a pair of doves, in an Arcadian landscape, framed by a white enamel band adorned with gold pellets alternating with red enamelled dots, the borders similarly decorated, the cover, four side panels and base engraved with an engine-turned coin-pattern scattered with pellets coated with chocolate-coloured translucent enamel painted with white interlaced ribbons, the golden side pilasters engraved with twisted ribbons on horizontally engine-turned panels
