BY JEAN-JOSEPH BARRIÈRE, MARKED, PARIS, 1766/1767, WITH THE CHARGE AND DISCHARGE MARKS OF JEAN-JACQUES PREVOST

Oval box, the centre of the cover inset with an oval enamel plaque painted with a girl gardening, within a chased gold frame, the base with a boy playing the flute, the lid and base borders enamelled in translucent blue and green over engraved foliage sprays between chased gold florettes, and the sides also with similar panels over musical trophies
