Oval box, the cover inlaid with a bouquet of flowers in various engraved hardstones including bloodstone, white chalcedony, lapis lazuli and agates, against a ground of gold-mounted mocha-coloured and reddish striated agate lozenges forming a diaper of wavy bands, the borders of trailing bloodstone foliage bound with an engraved gold bow on a carnelian ground, the base with identical wavy diaper and border, the sides inlaid with striated grey-blue and reddish agates to simulate basketwork embellished with four cartouches framed by c-scrolls in carnelian, containing matching diaper reserves, the gold rims engraved with a ribbon-twist pattern
