Rectangular box, the cover, sides and base inlaid with mother-of-pearl panels engraved and carved with exotic architecture, flowers and scrolls and applied with Chinoiserie scenes and floral compositions in various hardstones, ivory, tinted shell and gold, the gold cagework mounts engraved with ribbons, pellets and leaves on a reeded ground, and with trailing bell-flowers on a matted gold ground
