Double-page hand-coloured aquatint chart of the Mediterranean with three medallion views, hand-coloured plan of the battle of the Nile and 40 hand-coloured aquatint plates, most after the author. Hand-coloured wood-engraved vignettes. (Plates 5 and 13 stained at lower margin, plate 24 stained at both upper and lower margin, plates 30, 31 and 34 stained and slightly damaged at lower margin, some offsetting onto text, occasional thumb-soiling, clean tear at head of L4, small hole and soil mark to X4.) Contemporary calf, marbled endpapers and edges (rebacked and recornered).
