Luis Cruz Azaceta's artistic discourse is directed towards issues of social conflict. In an expressionistic style, he addresses themes of dictatorship and social repression in Latin America, as well as other problems such as Aids and drug addiction. In the series of works titled Journey he appears to be liberating the individual from one system, while directing him towards another.
