For an almost identical yellow glass bottle, see Helen White, Snuff Bottles from China, The Victoria & Albert Museum Collection, London, 1992, pp. 138-139, pl. 61, no. 1. The author notes that the monochrome carving and formal decoration on their example suggest a relatively early date, and that it might relate to a Qianlong-carved yellow monochrome bowl, (C. 677-1936) which was acquired by the Museum as part of the same gift (Buckley Gift)
