The well-potted, pear-shaped body freely painted with two feathery, foliate sprays reserved in iron-rust against the speckled dark brown glaze continuing over the lipped rim and stopping in a line above the thick, slightly flared foot rim to expose the granular, buff ware; together with a pear-shaped sgraffiato Cizhou vase, Song dynasty, the sides freely carved through the lustrous, dark brown glaze to the granular, buff ware with a broad band of sweeping foliate scroll, the glaze ending in an irregular line on the knife-pared foot
