Maker's mark of Robert Cox, London, 1757, the cover unmarked, engraving later
Baluster on spreading circular base, gilt-lined, with bright-cut and wriggle work borders, engraved in script A farewell present to Captain Hugh Eccles from his Weston friends March 1835, with two leaf-capped multi-scroll handles, the flat-topped molded dome cover with similar engraving and topped by acorn finial--8in. (22.2cm.) high, 24oz.
