The raised and detachable central medallions on either side of the pomander carved with a stylised shou character, the cloud-shape support carved at the edges with intertwined cloud scrolls and ruyi heads, the carved peony sprigs picked out in pink and green pigments, the grounds of the medallions and support finely reticulated, pierced at the top and bottom for suspension (tiny rim chip repaired)
