IRON-RED JIAQING SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD
Finely enamelled and detailed around the body with a Daoist scene depicting Xiwangmu on a phoenix amidst bats and multi-coloured clouds, descending on the Eight Immortals, each with their characteristic attributes and their attendants, standing in a landscape of pine trees and rocks and bearing welcome gifts of peaches, one Immortal carrying a stolen peach branch escaping to hide under trees, the reverse with Shoulao riding on a crane above the Hehe Erxian standing on a cloud, Magu in her bamboo raft, and Liu Hai with his three-legged toad, all shown between ruyi borders on yellow ground decorated with stylised lotus and Buddhist emblems, the waisted neck flanked by a pair of iron-red and gilt decorated handles, the interior and base glazed turquoise
