Breeds in Central Asia and lays 2 eggs, pale livid with dusky spots.' (upper right), 'Sternula minuta. The Little Tern. J.988./Shot on the Ganges. July 81./Cold Gondah.Augt22.81. Is most abundant at the mouths of tidal rivers, and inland it has been/only met with on the Ganges. breeds in India on sandbanks; the eggs are large for the size of the bird, ashy- green with small spots and blotches.'
