Tusi finished this work in AH 650/1252 AD in Alamut. This is a very early copy of this work, produced during the author's lifetime by an eminent student of his, Mahmud b. Mas'ud Shirazi (AH 634-710/1237-1310 AD) known as Qutb al-Din Shirazi. The present copy was copied direct from the author's original and read to him in the month of Muharram AH 670/1271 AD in Baghdad in the company of other notable scholars.
