A faon de Venise serpent-stemmed drinking vessel
17th Century, Low Countries or Venice
The honeycomb-moulded shallow bowl supported on a merese, the entwined wrythen-moulded serpent stem enclosing opaque threads and with lattimo raspberry-prunt terminals, above a short plain section, on a conical foot (chip to one prunt, repair to upper part of stem)
5½ in. (14 cm.) high
