Circa 1900, the mounts marked for Sheffield, 1909, with maker's marks for Walter and Charles Sissons
Probably engraved by John Orchard, the slender lobed oviform body deeply cut with birds perched on flowering branches divided by flowers, the hinged domed silver-gilt cover chased with an encircling garland, the neck with scrolls and engraved with the monogram ML and a coronet, on a spreading foliate foot
