Of swelling form with loop handle, transfer-printed in black and white and enriched with coloured enamels with an American frigate above a naval trophy and named SHIP CAROLINE below, the reverse with a rococo scroll-shaped shield surmounted by a naval coronet and emblazoned with the Shipwright's Arms, with two naval supporters flanked by distant galleons and with flower-sprays below, named below the spout JAMES LEECH within a garland of flowers and vine above the American Eagle (chip to tip of spout and footrim)
