AN ITALIAN SCAGLIOLA TABLE TOP WITH MARBELISED WOODEN STAND
Early 18th Century
The rectangular top with a central foliate cartouche within acanthus-scrolls and flowers, framed by a geometric border with simulated panels and within an ebonised frame, the stand of H-shape with moulded cornice above square baluster supports and two square panelled supports to either end on a moulded plinth, the stand with old paper label inscribed 'Dining Room', with small label to the top of one leg inscribed 'Loan 642A', the top distressed, the central cartouche probably originally with an armorial device
